Biography Having established his own business in Dublin in 1982 providing specialist services to the construction industry Pearse sold this business in 1984 and lived in Australia and New Zealand for a number of years. Trained in the UK as a Steiner primary teacher, Pearse taught in Raheen Wood Steiner School from 1987 until 1994 during which time he completed a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education with the Open University in 1992. He has worked for over 20 years with community groups supporting the development of Steiner kindergartens and schools throughout the country. He has contributed to a wide range of childcare training courses and works as an independent consultant in Ireland and abroad. He represented Ireland on the European Council of Steiner Schools for a number of years. Pearse is the chair of 'Steiner Schools', the Patron Body for Steiner National Schools in Ireland, and is currently engaged in doctoral studies in the philosophy of science with particular focus on Goethean science. He is the CEO of Inis Housing Association, an award winning voluntary housing body, and is involved in a number of social housing projects. He has worked with Camphill in Ireland for over 10 years as a development co-worker and is now one of the carrying co-workers in Camphill Community Mountshannon.
