Tom Ravetz

Biography After leaving school, Tom worked in a Camphill Community with people with special needs for four years. He was responsible for the main vegetable garden and helped on the farms. He was ordained as a priest of The Christian Community in 1991 and has worked as a congregational priest and in the Priest Seminary of The Christian Community in Stuttgart. He visited the community in County Clare for five years. He is now the Coordinator of the Community in Great Britain and Ireland. Tom has been involved in adult education in anthroposophical institutions for nearly thirty years. He is also an author and speaker on a wide range of theological and spiritual subjects. A particular area of interest is overcoming the division between the spiritual and earthly worlds. Tom's first book, Free from Dogma was published in 2009; The Incarnation -- Finding our True Self through Christ appeared this year. Tom is a Trustee of Emerson College, a centre for transformative adult education. He lives with his wife in Forest Row, England. |
